When I first heard about the new Discovery Home Channel series the
Garden Police, I was eager to see the show.
Unfortunately, the Discovery Home Channel isn’t included in my standard cable package. Luckily, the DiscoveryHome.com website provides snippets of past shows and information about the projects.
Shirley Bovshow and Michael Glassman, very talented landscape designers, host the show.
The premise is a bit hokey. They knock on the door, cite the residents for various garden crimes, and the home owners are sentenced to a few days of hard labor bringing their gardens back to life. Obviously, it’s a set-up with the owners in on the project from the beginning. In return they get expert help and happier neighbors.
The online video clips show a garden disaster that in a few short days is transformed into a adequate if not prize winning landscape.
Minor Annoyance: Discovery Home needs to get additional sponsors for the video clips. Scheduling the same commercial three times in a row should earn a few days of hard labor for the website producers!
The show airs on Thursdays at 8PM on the Discovery Home Channel.

I would like to know how to get Garden Police to come and fix my yard. It is the worst yard you will ever see.
Thank You,
Cathy Mannion

Wouldn’t we all…
Try the Discovery Home site - there should be a way to contact the hosts there.
Good luck and report back if the Garden Police come for a visit.
